Of the three it is the one that welcomes all ages and asks least of your budget, without giving up the meerkats, the bushman walks or the quad bikes.

Twelve tents: six twins, four doubles and two family units, taking about twenty-four guests. En-suite bathrooms with outdoor showers. Lighting is by paraffin lantern at night, with battery charging in the mess tent.

The family camp on the pans is a genuinely scarce thing
A great many Botswana camps set a minimum age of six, twelve or eighteen, which quietly rules the country out for families with younger children. On the Makgadikgadi the activities that matter — meerkats, walks, quad bikes on the pan — are unusually suited to children, and this is the camp that will take them.
Paraffin lanterns are a real constraint, not just atmosphere
Charging happens in the mess tent rather than at your bed, and the tents are lit by lantern after dark. For most people that is part of the appeal. If you travel with a lot of camera batteries or need a CPAP machine, ask the camp directly how power is handled before you book.
