Two practical points shape the choice. Most of the riverfront properties are west of town on the road towards the Sedudu gate, which puts you closer to the park and further from the shops. And Kasane is a border town before it is a safari town: the airport, the Zimbabwe crossing and the Kazungula bridge into Zambia are all within a short drive, which is why a night here often does double duty.
