Accommodation in Kazungula
Kazungula is where Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Namibia meet, and since the road bridge opened it has become a working border town rather than a ferry point. Staying here rather than in Kasane makes sense when the crossing is the reason for the trip, and there are now hotels of real size alongside the guesthouses.
Kazungula is the border settlement 11 km east of Kasane, where Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Namibia meet within a few kilometres of each other. The properties listed here are riverfront lodges and guesthouses strung along the road between Kasane and the crossings, and most of them are booked by people who want the Chobe on their doorstep without paying Kasane riverfront rates.
Two crossings sit here and they go to different countries: the Kazungula road crossing towards Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, and the Kazungula Bridge, which replaced the ferry in 2021, into Zambia.
