Accommodation in Gaborone and the South-East
Hotels and lodges in the capital, plus guesthouses and self-catering at Mogoditshane, Tlokweng, Molepolole, Kanye, Lobatse, Ramotswa and Jwaneng.
The largest regional archive we hold, and the least safari-like. It covers Gaborone itself and the ring of towns and villages around it — Tlokweng, Mogoditshane, Mmopane, Ramotswa, Molepolole, Kanye, Lobatse and Jwaneng. If you are looking specifically for a bed in the capital, the Gaborone city archive is the narrower list; if you want the region explained, start with South-East Botswana.
The bed stock is overwhelmingly small licensed guesthouses and bed and breakfasts on residential plots, with a set of business hotels in the centre. Very little of it exists for tourism, and that is the point: this is where you sleep the night before a flight, the night after landing, or the night before starting north on the A1. The two reserves within reach — Khutse and Mokolodi — are day trips or camping trips rather than reasons to base yourself here.
