Location and access
At Kachikau in the Chobe enclave, on the road between Kasane and the Ngoma gate, with Savuti and Linyanti to the south and west.
Kasane beyond the riverfront lodges
Most of what gets written about Kasane is about the river: the sunset cruises, the elephants coming down to drink, the lodges with decks over the Chobe. That is the reason to come, but it is not the whole of the town.
Kasane and neighbouring Kazungula are also a working border town with a hospital, an airport and four countries meeting at the ferry. The guesthouses and small hotels on the plateau and at Flowertown serve that town, and they are a good deal cheaper than the river frontage. If your days are spent in the park or on a boat anyway, the view from your bed matters less than the price of it.
