Mochudi, and why it is on this site
Mochudi is the Bakgatla capital, about 40 kilometres north-east of Gaborone on the road towards the Tlokweng and Sikwane border posts. The Phuthadikobo Museum on the hill above the village is the reason most visitors come.
It is close enough to Gaborone to work as a quieter alternative to a city hotel, and far enough out that you need a vehicle. There is very little formal accommodation, so what exists is worth listing.
Who it suits
- Visitors to Mochudi and the Phuthadikobo Museum.
- Travellers who want to be out of Gaborone but near it.
