Kalahari Rest Lodge is at Kang, roughly halfway along the Trans-Kalahari highway, and it exists for one reason: nobody drives Gaborone to Ghanzi or Namibia in a single comfortable day. It takes both chalet guests and campers, and it has a restaurant, which matters when the alternative is a fuel-station pie.

Rooms
The official register records eighteen rooms and thirty-six beds. Chalets are en-suite with air-conditioning, 220V power, a mini fridge and a small kitchenette. Campsites are individual, each with a dishwashing station and a 220V power point. We do not publish rates.
Facilities at Kalahari Rest Lodge
A restaurant, a bar and a swimming pool, with powered campsites alongside. Early morning and late afternoon game drives are offered on the property, where giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, kudu and impala are resident and cheetah, leopard and brown hyena occur.
Location and access
At Kang in the Kgalagadi region, on the Trans-Kalahari highway between Gaborone and Ghanzi. This is a highway stop rather than a wilderness camp.
