Audi Camp is on the Thamalakane about 12 km from Maun on the Shorobe road, and it is the campsite most self-drivers and overlanders in Botswana have heard of. It has run since long before Maun had much else, and it still does the two things that matter: a proper camping ground, and mobile safaris run by the same people.

Camping and rooms
A large camping area with and without power points, hot-water ablutions and laundry. Four en-suite luxury tents on raised decking, ten mini-Meru tents, eight dome tents, and a four-bedroom self-catering house sleeping ten.
Facilities at Audi Camp
A swimming pool, and a bar and restaurant open from 07:00 to 22:00 daily. Mobile safaris to Moremi, the Central Kalahari and the Makgadikgadi are run in-house, and mokoro trips with local polers are booked on site.

Location and access
Tar out of Maun on the Shorobe road then a short signposted access track, about 9 km from Maun International Airport. A standard vehicle gets you in; no 4×4 required.

Audi Camp takes reservations by telephone and email rather than through an online booking engine, and we could not confirm a booking link that reliably lands on this property rather than a general Maun search. This is common in Botswana and it is not a warning sign. A great many genuinely good properties here — community camps, owner-run camps, the older established names — simply never built an online engine.

What makes Audi Camp useful is that it covers the whole range in one place. If you are carrying a rooftop tent you take a powered site. If you have flown in with nothing you take a dome tent. If you want a bed and a bathroom you take a Meru tent on a deck. If there are ten of you, you take the house.
That flexibility is exactly what a Maun staging night needs, because parties arriving here are rarely equipped the same way.
