Pom Pom Camp overlooks a lily-covered lagoon at the head of the Xudum river system, in the Pom Pom Concession west of Moremi. It is the deliberately traditional camp in the Kwando group: canvas, outdoor showers and lantern-lit rather than contemporary, and the operator is explicit that this is a choice rather than a shortfall.

Twenty minutes from Maun is unusually close
Most Delta camps cost you the better part of a day at each end once you account for the charter schedule. A twenty-minute hop makes Pom Pom genuinely practical as a two-night camp at the start or end of a trip, which is worth knowing if you are trying to fit the Delta into a shorter itinerary.
What a lily lagoon means for the mokoro
Mokoro is often sold as the signature Delta activity and then delivered on a channel that is really a boat route. A shallow, lily-covered lagoon is what the poler actually wants: slow, quiet, and close enough to the surface that the frogs and the water lilies are the point rather than a backdrop to looking for elephant.
