Francistown, and why it is on this site
Francistown is Botswana’s second city and a working one: mining, freight and the road and rail routes to Zimbabwe and South Africa. Very few people come here for a holiday, and the accommodation reflects that. It is business hotels, guesthouses on suburban plots and self-catering apartments.
It matters to travellers anyway, because it is the practical overnight between the Tuli Block, the Makgadikgadi and the border posts. We list it as what it is rather than dressing it up.
Who it suits
- Longer working stays in Francistown.
- Travellers who want a kitchen.
- Anyone comparing the two Cosy Cottage addresses and wanting Block 9 specifically.
