Punkinheads Guesthouse is a four-room bed and breakfast on Plot 1693 in Plateau, the residential area above the Chobe riverfront in Kasane. It is registered with Botswana Tourism as an operating bed and breakfast. Plateau is where much of Kasane actually lives and works, a few minutes above the river, and staying up there is the usual way to be in Kasane without paying riverfront lodge rates.

Facilities at Punkinheads Guesthouse
We list no facilities here. The official register records the licence class and address but not the facility detail, and no other verifiable source was available, so anything more would be guesswork.
Location and access
Plot 1693, Plateau, Kasane, Chobe District, above the Chobe riverfront and close to the Sedudu gate into Chobe National Park.
Kasane beyond the riverfront lodges
Most of what gets written about Kasane is about the river. That is the reason to come, but it is not the whole of the town.
Kasane and neighbouring Kazungula are also a working border town, and the small guesthouses on the plateau and at Kazungula serve it. Several appear only on the national tourism register. If your days are spent in the park or on a boat, the view from your bed matters less than the price of it.
Who it suits
- Self-drive travellers using Kasane as the Chobe gateway
- Visitors crossing to Victoria Falls or Kazungula
- Travellers who want Kasane without riverfront lodge rates
- People working in Kasane for a few nights
