Sediba Sa Rona opened in March 2026 on the Khwai River, on the footprint of the long-established lodge that stood there before it. The name means “our source of water”. It faces Moremi Game Reserve across the river but sits in the Khwai Concession, which is the part that matters for what you can do after dark.

Tents at Sediba Sa Rona
Fifteen en-suite luxury tents, two of them inter-leading for families, taking a maximum of 30 guests, plus a separate pilot and guide tent. Power is 24-hour solar with generator backup; in-room Wi-Fi is by satellite and the operator describes it as limited.
Facilities at Sediba Sa Rona
A swimming pool, a full-service spa, a bar and several dining areas, a fire deck facing the river, a curio shop and daily laundry.
Who it suits
Travellers who want river frontage and night drives without giving up easy access to Moremi. Children are accepted from six years.
Location and access
Fly-in by light aircraft from Maun to the Khwai area airstrips, then a transfer. Khwai is also reachable by 4×4, but the river crossing and the sand demand a properly equipped vehicle.
How we checked this listing
Tent counts, capacity, opening date of 16 March 2026, power and facilities come from the Desert & Delta Safaris operator page for this camp. We have not stayed here.
Why the concession side of the river matters
Moremi is a national reserve: no off-road driving, no night drives, gate hours. Khwai is a concession, and camps there may drive at night and follow animals off the road. Sitting on the concession bank gives Sediba Sa Rona both — the night programme on its own ground, and day trips into Moremi when you want the reserve.
A new camp on an old footprint
The operator states the camp keeps the original footprint and capacity rather than expanding. That is worth knowing for two reasons: the site has decades of established game habituation around it, and the environmental argument for rebuilding rather than clearing new ground is a real one in a concession where bed numbers are capped.
Booking this property
Sediba Sa Rona sells through the operator and through agents rather than as a nightly-rate hotel room. As a 2026 opening it has no long booking history in general accommodation search.
Book or compare
We have not been able to confirm a property-level booking route for Sediba Sa Rona. Rather than send you to a property that is not this one, the availability button compares stays across the Okavango Delta. It does not claim to open this property.
We publish no rate here. Prices move with season, occupancy and cancellation terms, and a figure copied once is a figure that goes stale.
Botswana Travel Guide may earn a commission when you book through selected links, at no additional cost to you. It does not change what we list or what we say about it.
What we publish, and what we do not
We publish no nightly rate, no live availability, no star rating and no review score of our own. Those move with season and occupancy, and a figure copied once is a figure that goes stale. What we publish is what the property is, where it sits, who it suits and how you reach it.
