The Stables is on Plot 51 in Ghanzi. Ghanzi is the only town of consequence on the long crossing between Maun, Kang and the Mamuno border with Namibia, and almost every traveller who stops here is breaking a drive rather than visiting the town itself. That said, the district has more to it than the road: the Kalahari farm block, the San communities, and the tracks east towards the Central Kalahari.
