Nata, and why it is on this site
Nata sits at the junction of the A3 from Francistown and the A33 north to Kasane, on the edge of the Sua Pan. Almost everyone who stays here is breaking a long drive, heading for Chobe, the Makgadikgadi or the Nata Bird Sanctuary.
That makes it one of the most useful overnight points in the country and one of the least glamorous. Most properties are roadside guesthouses and small lodges rather than pan camps, and we list them as such.
Who it suits
- Travellers who need step-free access on the northern route.
- Families needing a family room.
- Single-night stops between Francistown and Kasane.
